Hon. Alfred  Obeng Boateng Commission And Hands Over Muoho Basic School

The member of Parliament for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, Alfred Obeng-Boateng, commissioned an ultra-modern educational edifice on Sunday, 5th January 2025, for the Muoho Community.

During the handing-over ceremony of the six-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities like a library, toilet, mechanized borehole, and staff common room, the MP thanked God for granting him mercies throughout his tenure.

“Some bye-elections were held due to the untimely demise of some MPs but God’s grace was abundant and sufficient for me,” he stressed.

He also expressed appreciation to the constituents for reposing confidence in him by giving him the four-year mandate to serve as a Member of Parliament.

Hon. Obeng-Boateng reiterated that the most fulfilling aspect of his life is the impact that he had made on people and society through employment opportunities, donations, health infrastructure projects, educational infrastructures, roads, Agriculture interventions, and others.

Chronicling the genesis of the project, the MP indicated that the projects were two but the Muoho project was started earlier due to its urgency as a result of the devastating fire that ravaged the entire school building. He debunked the assertion that the facility was established by an NGO.

Additionally, he pleaded with the town folks to cultivate a culture of maintenance by protecting all government properties, especially the new edifice.

The astute MP urged his party folks and sympathizers to rally solidly behind the party since there are chances of bouncing back quickly irrespective of the humiliating defeat in the just-ended general elections. He was also optimistic about the NPP recapturing the Parliamentary seat from the NDC in the next elections.

This was premised on the fact that a comparison would be made by electorates and the right choice would be made.

Hon MP added that the voters should base their choices on development projects rolled out by the government and the MPs rather than little, little financial and parochial gains.

On his projects, the MP reiterated that he would pause for a while and later return to the sites to complete the projects for the benefit of the people.

Hon. Paul Andoh, MCE for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, expressed appreciation to the government and the contractor, E.M.P Ventures Ltd for the good job done. The MP was also not left out for his lobbying skills in bringing dreams to reality.

He added his voice to the call for proper utilization of the facility to prolong its lifespan. Parents were also urged to send their children to school to benefit fully from the project since education is the key to success.

The MCE was sure about the edifice boosting the morale of teachers and pupils thereby improving academic work in the school.

Abusuapanin Padmore Antwi commended the MP for the Kwaaso Bridge construction, provision of sewing machines, and payment of apprenticeship programmes costs, and many more.

The last and most outstanding project was the ultra-modern educational edifice for the Muoho community. He gave the MP the title ‘Oseadeɛyɔ’ which means the one who keeps his promises.

.

He entreated him to be steadfast and continue to work hard since God knows best for His people.
