2024 Defeat A Lesson NPP Reorganizing To Rescue Ghana From NDC ‘Mismanagement’ – Atwima Mponua NPP Aspiring Secretary.

An aspiring Constituency Secretary for the New Patriotic Party in Atwima Mponua in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Emmanuel Domfeh, says the NPP has begun a comprehensive reorganization drive to recapture power from the National Democratic Congress in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sompa News, Mr. Domfeh disclosed that the party’s defeat in the 2024 polls has become a turning point for deep reflection and restructuring from the national level down to the polling station level.

“The 2024 defeat has taught us a hard lesson. As a party, we have accepted the verdict of Ghanaians and we are reorganizing.

From national executives to the grassroots, the NPP is rebuilding, re-strategizing, and reconnecting with the base,” he said.

Mr. Domfeh, who is also the Assembly Member for Ntobroso, touted the NPP’s track record in infrastructure and social intervention programs, insisting that the party remains the best alternative to what he called the NDC’s “mismanagement” of the economy.

“The NPP is known by our developmental marks. We built schools, hospitals, roads, and introduced policies that touched lives. We are going to take the seat back from the NDC because Ghanaians are already feeling the difference,” he stated.

He decried what he described as worsening economic hardship under the current NDC administration, citing the plight of cocoa farmers in Atwima Mponua, a major cocoa-growing district.

“Cocoa farmers are suffering. Atwima Mponua farmers are feeling the pain. Input prices are high, producer price adjustments are not enough, and the sector is losing its vibrancy,” he lamented.

Mr. Domfeh also pointed to the rising cost of living as evidence of poor governance. “Transport fares are increasing day in and day out. Fuel prices keep going up. Market women and drivers are all complaining. This is not the Ghana people voted for,” he added.

He further accused the NDC government of deliberately abandoning projects initiated by the previous NPP administration, describing the move as a setback to national development.

“The NDC government has abandoned all uncompleted NPP projects.

That is not good governance. Development must be continuous, irrespective of which party started a project.

The people suffer when projects are left to rot,” he argued.

On the state of the NPP, Mr. Domfeh maintained that the party remains united and focused despite the 2024 setback.

He called on party faithful, especially the youth, to remain loyal and committed to the reorganization agenda.

“The NPP from national to the grassroots are together. We have no factions here in Atwima Mponua.

We are mobilizing, and we are coming to take power from the NDC party in 2028 to rescue Ghana,” he declared.
