Government Supports Cocoa Farmers In Jaman South With Fertilizer.

The government through the COCOBOD is supporting the cocoa farmers in the Jaman South municipality with fertilizers to improve their cocoa production in the jaman south of the bono region.

‎Distributing over 18000 cocoa fertilizers to the farmers, the Municipal Chief Executive, SIATA WATARA, commends the Government for the timely intervention and urges beneficiary farmers to apply the fertilizers on their cocoa farms instead of smuggling them across the border into Côte d’Ivoire. She says the initiative is aimed at improving cocoa yields, increasing farmers’ incomes, and strengthening Ghana’s cocoa sector.

‎Beneficiary farmers commend the Government for the support and describe the fertilizer distribution as a major relief.

They also urge their colleague farmers to apply the fertilizers to improve their production. Some too call for additional fertilizers to apply second round on their farms.
