Gomoa Manso Imposes Night Curfew On Pupils.

Traditional leaders of Gomoa Manso in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region have imposed a night curfew on school pupils to save their future.

Speaking to the media, the Odikro of Gomoa Manso, Nana Okyeadze Dontor, said they have instituted a by-law to restrain school children from roaming at night in the community.

According to him, the directive is aimed at improving discipline and academic performance among students.

He added that any school-going child found loitering after 8pm will be picked up and sent to the Palace for their parents to come for them.

We can no longer sit and watch our children spoil. Our Community Watchdog will arrest any school child seen roaming at night and bring him to the palace. We will not beat them. We will invite their parents to come and take them and advise them. This is to save their future,” he said.

The Chief has therefore called on parents and guardians to support the initiative to ensure children focus on their education and stay out of trouble.

Nana Okyeadze Dontor made this known during the official launching of Gomoa Manso Akwanbo Festival 2026 which will be celebrated from 14th to 20th September 2026 at Gomoa Manso in the Central Region.

Former NPP Parliamentary Aspirant, Rev. Francis Yamoah has also thrown his full support to the traditional leaders to help secure the future for the upcoming generation.
