MCE Invokes Traditional Oath Over Illegal Mining Allegations.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Birim Central, Hon. Solomon Brako Kusi, has publicly responded to allegations made by the Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda, Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, accusing him of involvement in illegal mining (galamsey).

Addressing the claims, Hon. Brako Kusi reportedly invoked a traditional oath before the gods of Akyem Kotoku, presenting schnapps and a sheep as part of the customary rite.

According to the MCE, if the allegations made against him are true, he called on the gods to punish him accordingly.

However, if the accusations are false and intended to tarnish his reputation, he prayed that the same gods would expose and disgrace the MP for making what he described as false allegations.
