Wasa Amenfi East Galamsey Menace,We Would Keep The Fight Up Till Final Battle- Police Commander

The Wasa Amenfi Amenfi East district police Commander Chief Superintendent William Jabialu in the Western region has said,the police would not give up in the fight against illegal mining activities popularly called galamsey.

The district police Commander together with his men stormed some illegal mining site at Wasa Nsuopono and it’s environs in the Amenfi East Municipality.

According to Chief Superintendent William Jabialu,the miners who saw the police team took to their heels and were given a hot chase but could not made any arrest.

He said the miners abandoned their working equipments such as pumping machines,

Changfans that were heavy to be carried by the police and kept as exhibits were destroyed.

Chief Superintendent William Jabialu said,a total of 25 Changfans and 40 pumping machines were burnt and this is what he said when granted an interview with Angel tv /Agyemfra BRIGHT about the operation.
