Mfantseman MP, Dr Arhine, UNFPA Lunchs Initiative To Erase Fistula Financial Burden For Mothers.
Mfantseman Constituency Member of Parliament, Dr. Ebenezer Prince Arhin, has stepped forward with a significant commitment to aid patients battling the devastating effects of obstetric fistula.
Recognizing that the financial strain of surgical operations and recovery can be a major barrier for affected mothers, Dr. Arhin is rallying support to ensure that no patient is denied essential medical intervention due to cost.
Obstetric fistula, a severe injury often resulting from prolonged and obstructed labor, leaves women facing immense physical suffering and profound social isolation.
Many of these women are mothers who have just welcomed new life baby’s, only to face a life-altering condition.
Dr. Arhin’s initiative aims to provide a crucial financial lifeline, enabling these patients to access the specialized surgical care they need.
Working in close collaboration with dedicated medical professionals and established by United Nations Population Fun (UNFPA), and fidality the program seeks to create a robust support system.
This includes not only facilitating the surgical procedures themselves but also offering protection and comprehensive aid throughout the recovery process.
Dr. Arhin’s proactive stance highlights the critical need for continued awareness and action against fistula, ensuring that vulnerable mothers in Mfantseman receive the dignity and comprehensive care they deserve.
He then visit labour wards to present or donate hampers to new born mothers to used on their children and he encouraged them to stay safe aby times hospital or patients are in need he’s is there for him.

Recognizing the gravity of this situation, Dr. Emmily Naphambo has conveyed a powerful message of support: the UNFPA will provide comprehensive, free surgical treatment to those affected.

The mercy women’s hospital Dr B Joseph Langah Berko in charge of the Roman Catholic hospital in Mankssim also thanks MP Arhine UNFPA organizations for paying visit to the fistula centre and assured them with free surgical support to combat their burden and family leaving with such disease,
He added that how to get them was very difficult to find them to come hospital for treatment during to stigmatization people find it difficult to come closer.
Some patients also thank member of parliament for mfantseman Constituency Dr Prince Arhine for supporting them with items of hampers to use take care of their new born babies their much grateful to him visiting their with kind of donations.
