A great worry confronting drivers and vehicle users in the Jomoro Municipality of the Western Region of Ghana is access to DVLA office. Drivers and vehicle users in that area have to travel long distances to Axim, Tarkwa, or Takoradi to access the services of DVLA.

The Deputy Minister of Transport, Dorcas Affo Toffey, speaking in an interview with our reporter Nana Fynn said the project, when completed, will ease the burden and hustle drivers and vehicle users had to endure.

She appealed to the chiefs and stakeholders in the Jomoro Municipality of the Western Region to help make the project a reality.
.
The DVLA CEO, Julius Neequaye Kotey, assured that the office will be completed and operational by the end of 2026, improving access to services for local residents and reducing travel time and costs.

He added that the DVLA is planning to build a spec hospital for drivers in the country since they are the most stakeholders in the sector.
