Transport Minister, Deputy Visit NRSA And TRAFITECH-GH To Strengthen Road Safety Enforcement.

The Minister for Transport, Joseph Bukari Nikpe, together with the Deputy Transport Minister, Hon. Dorcas Toffey Affo, has paid a working visit to the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) and TRAFITECH-GH as part of efforts to enhance road safety enforcement in Ghana.
TRAFITECH-GH is an automated system developed by the Ghana Police Service in collaboration with the National Road Safety Authority and the Ministry of Transport to improve efficiency in enforcing road traffic laws across the country.
The system uses cameras and sensors to automatically capture audiovisual evidence of vehicles that violate road traffic regulations, helping authorities detect offences such as speeding, running red lights, and other traffic violations.
During the visit, the Minister and his deputy had a firsthand experience of how the system operates.
Authorities indicated that preparations are currently underway to roll out the system nationwide to strengthen road safety enforcement.
The Ministry of Transport reaffirmed its commitment to engaging key stakeholders and implementing innovative measures aimed at ensuring safer roads for all road users in Ghana.
