Residents Of Kensere Appeals For Teachers Bangalore And Portable Water.

In the heart of Ghana’s cocoa-producing Ashanti Region, a small farming community called Kensere in Offinso South Municipality is crying out for help.
Despite its rich cocoa production, Kensere lacks basic amenities, with residents struggling to access clean water, healthcare, and education.
The poor road network is the root of the problem.
Teachers are fleeing the community due to the treacherous journey from Offinso, leaving children without educators.
Last month, a dedicated teacher was involved in an accident, damaging both legs, while trying to reach the community.
“It’s like they’re killing us softly,” a resident said.
Residents describe their situation as desperate. “We don’t have portable water to drink, no CHIPs compound, and the road is impassable,” a resident lamented. Motorbike riders, the only means of transport, charge exorbitant fees of 80 cedis per ride, making life unaffordable.
“We feel like we’re not part of Ghana,” a resident said, visibly shaken.
The community is appealing to the government, MCE, and NGOs for help, requesting teachers and teachers Bangalore, a mechanized borehole, and road improvements.
The Odikro of Kensere Community Nana Kwaku Fokuo added that, there are a lot of village under Kensere but due to poor road.
Due to the poor nature of their road they sometimes gets their produce rotten in the bush.
Nana Kwaku Fokuo also called on their Member of parliament Hon Isaac Yaw Opoku to come and visit them because they are part of his Constituency.
