Gwira Chief Urges Council Of State Member To Remind President Mahama Of Road Promise.

The Paramount Chief of the Gwira Traditional Area in the Nzema East Municipality of the Western Region, Awulae Angama Tuagyan, has called on the Western Regional Council of State Member, Hon. Maxwell Boakye, to remind President John Dramani Mahama of his campaign promise to construct roads in the Gwira area.

According to the chief, the President pledged during his campaign to improve road infrastructure in Gwira if given the mandate to lead the country.

He noted that this promise significantly influenced the people of Gwira to vote massively in support of him.

However, he expressed concern that since assuming office, no visible work has been done on the roads.

Awulae Angama Tuagyan made the appeal when Hon. Maxwell Boakye paid a visit to the Gwira Traditional Area to acquaint himself with the challenges facing the people.

Taking the opportunity, the chief passionately appealed to the Council of State Member to remind the President of his commitment to the people of Gwira.

In response, Hon. Maxwell Boakye emphasized that the fight for development is a shared responsibility involving traditional leaders, Members of Parliament, Municipal and District Chief Executives, and other stakeholders.

He urged unity and collaboration among all parties to push for development in the area.

He further expressed optimism that by the end of President Mahama’s tenure, the Western Region would witness significant transformation.
