Kronum Assemblyman Cracks Down On Pragya Operations With New Regulations.

The Assembly Member for Kronum kyerase electoral area in the Suame Municipal of the Ashanti region, Hon. Elvis Nyantakyi, popularly known as Yes Madam has announced a set of strict measures to regulate the activities of Pragya riders in the area, aimed at promoting safety, discipline, and fairness.

Hon. Elvis Nyantakyi has engaged riders at the Kronum Pragya Station in a sensitization meeting to address growing concerns within the sector.
He emphasized that while the Pragya transport business is recognized and accepted by the government, it must be conducted responsibly and within the law.

According to him, some riders currently operating are underage, while others display indiscipline towards passengers and authorities.
He warned that such behavior will no longer be tolerated in the community.

As part of the new directives, the Assemblyman stated that any individual below the age of 18 will not be permitted to operate a Pragya. Additionally, all riders must possess valid licenses before they can work at the station.

He also addressed the issue of fare inconsistency, particularly during evening hours, where some riders charge higher than the approved morning fares.
He directed that this practice must cease immediately to protect passengers from exploitation.

Hon. Nyantakyi concluded by announcing that these regulations will officially take effect from Monday, April 27, 2026, urging all riders to comply fully .
