Galamsey Has Destroyed Our Only Source Of Drinking Water In Nyanoa- Odikro Calls For Urgent Attention.

The Odikro of Akyem Nyanoa in the Eastern Region Berimah Opoku Okyere ll has raised a serious concern over how illegal mining activities popularly known as Galamsey has polluted their only source of Drinking water.

According to the Traditional leader, the community has so many challenges such as bad road, inadequate health facility, Secondary school but the most pressing one is potable drinking water.

Akyem Nyanoa is a farming communities with a population of over 4000 but currently depends solely on satchet water for daily activities since galamsey has destroyed source of water.

Berimah Opoku Okyere ll made the pronouncement to Angel news today when he performed rituals to install Nana Addo Baffour as Nkɔsoɔhene for Akyem Nyanoa.

Meanwhile, the newly installed Nkɔsoɔhene for Nyanoa Nana Addo Baffour has pledged to establish a Technical College that can train the youth to become professional artisans which might drastically reduce the high rate of unemployment amongst the youth.
