New Denyase Queen Mother Vows To Tackle Drugs, Teenage Pregnancy And Poor Sanitation Through Youth Empowerment.

The newly introduced Queen Mother of Denyase in the Bekwai Municipality of the Ashanti Region, Nana Anima Antwi Konama II, has made a firm commitment to reposition the youth of Denyase for a better future by waging a strong campaign against drugs, social vices, teenage pregnancy, and poor sanitation.

She delivered the message when the Denyase Traditional Council, led by the Paramount Chief, Nana Akosa Yiadom III, formally introduced her to the community ahead of her enstoolment.

Addressing residents, Nana Anima Antwi Konama II expressed concern about the growing influence of drug abuse and other social vices among the youth.

She urged young people to stay focused, discipline themselves, and avoid activities that destroy their potential.

She also appealed to children and teenagers to prioritize education, stating that staying in school is one of the surest ways to prevent teenage pregnancy and build a stable future.

Sanitation, she said, will be central to her reign. “Cleanliness is next to godliness,” she told the gathering. “When our environment is clean, we stay healthy, and our community attracts development.

” She pledged to lead regular clean-up exercises and work with stakeholders to keep Denyase tidy at all times.

The Queen Mother-designate added that youth development will remain her top priority after her installation.

She outlined plans to support skills training, mentorship programs, and community engagement initiatives that will give young people alternatives to street life and equip them for productive roles in society.

For his part, Nana Akosa Yiadom III, the Paramount Chief of Denyase, called for unity and support for the new queen mother as she prepares to take her seat.

He said her appointment comes at a critical time when the community needs strong female leadership to guide the youth and improve living standards.

“As I have introduced her to the Denyase community, the path is now clear for the Traditional Council to enstool her as the Queen Mother of Denyase.

I am urging everyone to stand with her in peace and togetherness so we can achieve our shared goals,” Nana Akosa Yiadom III stated.

Community members who attended the ceremony welcomed the queen mother’s focus on youth, education, and sanitation, expressing hope that her leadership will bring renewed energy and progress to Denyase.
