Gold Dealer Found Dead At Obuasi – Kokoteasua After 5 Days Missing.

A gold dealer, Nana Appiah, has been found dead at Obuasi-Kokoteasua after he was reported missing five days ago.

According to family sources, Mr. Appiah was last seen on August 5, 2026, before he went missing. A search was launched by family members and community members in the Kokoteasua area.

His body was discovered this morning in a bush at Obuasi-Kokoteasua.

The circumstances surrounding his death are yet to be established.

Police from the Obuasi Divisional Command have since conveyed the body to the mortuary for preservation and autopsy, while investigations are underway.

In an interview with our news reporter, Bismark Mensah, an eyewitness, Samuel Akwasi Mensah, said the deceased was a well-known gold dealer in the area and his sudden disappearance raised concerns among traders and residents.

Obuasi and its surrounding communities have a large concentration of miners and gold traders, making security a key concern for business owners in the area.

Police are appealing to anyone with information that could aid investigations to come forward.
