Infrastructure Deficit A Major Challenge For Agona Swedru Technical Institute….Principal Express Worried 

The Principal head of Agona Swedru Technical Institute Clifford Boakye Mensah, has expressed worries about how infrastructure deficit has become a major challenge facing the school, hindering its growth since its establishment.

According to him, the school with a population of 2061 is currently facing infrastructure challenges which has become a major setback.

He added that, the school lacks essential facilities including inadequate classrooms,

insufficient tables and chairs for students which have created uncomfortable learning environment.

Mr Boakye Mensah added that, lack of hostel facilities in the school has forced teachers to vacate their bungalows, converting them into makeshift hostels for students, inadequate bungalows for teachers is also affecting their living conditions and morale.

Mr Clifford Boakye Mensah , speaking with Angel TV correspondent Nana Kojo Asare at the school premises has urged the Ghana Education Service, philanthropies, and non-governmental organizations to support the school with the building materials to help them in addressing these infrastructure deficits.

Principal head of Agona Swedru Technical institute, Mr Clifford Boakye Mensah, again added that, the school’s land is being encroached upon due to the absence of a fence wall and has pleaded with enchroachers to disist from building on school lands to avoid future demolishing

Assistant principal head of Agona Swedru Technical Institute, Mrs. Gifty Essel, also spoke with Angel TV called on government and other corporate bodies to come on board to support the school to serve it purpose of which it has been established.
