Meaningful Development Can Only Be Achieved Through Cooperation Among Regligious Groups – Regional Minister.

The Western Regional Minister, Joseph Nelson, has underscored the critical role of collaboration among religious bodies and other stakeholders in achieving sustainable development in the region.

He made this statement when the leadership of the Christian Divine Church paid a courtesy call on him at the Western Regional Coordinating Council in Sekondi.

According to the Minister, development efforts in the region can only yield meaningful results when religious institutions, traditional authorities, and government agencies work together towards a common goal.

He commended the church for the visit and acknowledged the important role faith-based organizations play in promoting peace, unity, and social cohesion within communities.

The Minister further encouraged religious leaders to continue using their platforms to preach messages of peace and mutual respect, stressing that such values are essential for maintaining stability and fostering growth.

He also called for stronger partnerships between the church and the Regional Coordinating Council to implement community-based initiatives that will improve livelihoods across the Western Region.

Chairman of the Christian Divine Church, Apostle Alex Aidoo, on his part expressed appreciation to the Minister for the warm reception and reaffirmed the church’s commitment to supporting programmes that benefit the people.

He stressed that peace and unity remain essential for the growth of the region, adding that the church is ready to partner stakeholders to roll out community outreach initiatives focused on youth empowerment, sanitation, and peace education.

Apostle Aidoo also assured the Minister of the church’s continuous prayers and support for the leadership of the region.

Also speaking, the Regional Pastor for New Takoradi, Pastor Samuel Awauh, reiterated the church’s readiness to support initiatives that will positively impact communities.

He noted that the church remains committed to working closely with authorities to promote development and improve the wellbeing of the people in the Western Region.
