Gomoa West: Chiefs Endorse Captain Smart Parliamentary Candidature, Urges Residents To Vote For Him For Massive Development.

Chiefs in the Gomoa West Constituency of the Central Region have called on delegates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to present renowned broadcaster Godbrain Kwadwo Smart (Captain Smart) as the party’s parliamentary candidate for the 2028 general elections, warning that failure to do so could cost the party the parliamentary seat.

According to the Odikro of Gomoa Denkyira, Nana Kwandam, Captain Smart has demonstrated visionary leadership and a strong commitment to the development of the constituency.

He expressed confidence that, if given the opportunity to lead Gomoa West as Member of Parliament, Captain Smart would bring significant progress to the area.

Nana Kwandam made the remarks while addressing the media during the sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of an ultra-modern Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) office at Gomoa Denkyira. The facility, initiated by Captain Smart, is expected to be the first of its kind in the area and will serve residents across the Gomoa communities.

Speaking on behalf of other traditional leaders, Nana Kwandam appealed to the NDC to field Captain Smart as its parliamentary candidate in 2028 pledging the chiefs’ support to help him secure victory and champion the constituency’s development.

He noted that Gomoa West needs a visionary leader capable of accelerating development, adding that the constituency has lagged behind for many years.

Meanwhile, Captain Smart, who is seeking to become the NDC’s parliamentary candidate for Gomoa West, said he is committed to transforming the constituency. He argued that previous Members of Parliament have failed to meet the development needs of the people.

He therefore appealed to NDC delegates to entrust him with the party’s parliamentary candidacy, promising to bring meaningful development and improve the lives of residents in Gomoa West.
