Ejisu Govt Hospital Thrown Into Chaos As Two Patients Destroy Medical Equipment In Ward Brawl

The Ejisu Government Hospital was thrown into panic after two patients admitted for treatment allegedly vandalized medical equipment during a fight in the ward.

The incident occurred after the two men, described as known gangsters and alleged wee smokers, were brought to the facility with injuries sustained from a fight at home.

According to an eyewitness, the two had already clashed at home before being rushed to the hospital for treatment.

However, trouble started again on the ward when one of them realized the other appeared less injured and was “standing strong.”

“Upon seeing that the other person was fit, he got angry and started picking hospital equipment to attack him,” the eyewitness narrated.

In the process, beds, drip stands, computers and other medical items were destroyed, disrupting activities in the ward.

The eyewitness said the situation nearly escalated as friends and associates of both men began trooping into the hospital.

“Looking at how the gangs of each victim were trooping in, we feared it could bring more chaos. So we quickly called for police reinforcement,” he added.

Personnel from the Ejisu Divisional Police Command responded swiftly to restore calm and prevent further destruction.

Hospital authorities have not yet commented on the extent of damage caused or whether the suspects will face charges.

The incident has raised concerns about security at health facilities and the need to protect medical staff, patients and hospital property.
