Assin North NPP Nasara Coordinator, Polling Station Chairman Involves In Ghastly Accident Route To Bryan Acheampong Meeting

The Nasara Coordinator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Assin North Constituency, Hon. Vilinke Mohammed, is in critical condition following a serious motor accident at Assin Akonfudi on the afternoon of Friday, November 14, 2025.

Also involved in the crash was an Assin Breku Ninkyiso Polling Station Chairman, identified only as Yahya, who was riding as a pillion passenger.

He sustained a life-threatening injury, resulting in the amputation of his leg at the scene.

Both victims were quickly transported to the St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu, where they are currently receiving emergency treatment.

Speaking to Angel TV’s Kwame Owusu Asante, the NPP Constituency Organizer, Mr. Collins Egyiri popularly known as Opinko, explained that the victims were en route to the Pentecost Church in Akonfudi, where NPP Presidential Aspirant, Hon. Bryan Acheampong, was meeting with delegates.

According to him, Hon. Vilinke’s motorbike was hit from the back by another speeding motorbike while negotiating a curve.

The force of the impact caused the horrific injuries, particularly to the pillion rider, Yahya while Honourable Vilinke sustained severe head and neck injuries.

The third person involved, identified as Kwaku Mensah, was reportedly riding from Manso to Assin Adiembra to attend a funeral when the accident occurred.

All three individuals are currently on admission at the St. Francis Xavier Hospital emergency ward.
