Three Arrested For Alleged Food Diversion At Wovenu Senior High School.

Three individuals, including a matron and a police officer, were arrested on February 11, 2026, for allegedly diverting food items meant for students at Wovenu Senior High School in Tadzewu.

The suspects were caught transporting bags of rice, cartons of tin tomatoes, tin fish, and gallons of cooking oil, believed to be part of the school’s food stock.

The arrest was made by the Assembly Member for the area, Meli Atipoe, and community members around 6:20 a.m.
The suspects have been handed over to the Tadzewu Police and subsequently transferred to the Dzodze Police for further investigations.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Rev. Martin Amenaki, has assured the public that the matter will be thoroughly investigated, and anyone found culpable will face the full rigors of the law.
