The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Jaman South in the Bono Region, Hon. Siata Watara, has announced her intention to implement strategic measures within the next ten days to ensure that the Municipal Assembly elects a Presiding Member to support the day-to-day operations of the Assembly.
Following the Jaman South Municipal Assembly’s failure to elect a Presiding Member on Friday, April 17, 2026, Hon. Siata Watara expressed her frustrations about the results of the election and further expressed her commitment to engage with the candidates, as well as the Assembly Members and appointees eligible to vote, in order to devise strategies for subsequently electing a Presiding Member in the coming days.
She urged all residents of Jaman South to communicate with their respective Assembly Members and encourage them to set aside personal interests to elect a Presiding Member who will support the Assembly’s activities.
Hon. Frank Tanor, Assemblyman for Kofitiakrom in the Jaman South Municipality, elaborated on the significance of the roles of the Presiding Member within the Assembly framework.
