Kenyasi No.1 Paramount Chief Donates GH¢80,000 To Digitize Patient Records At Asutifi North Hospital.

Nana Osei Kofi Abiri, Paramount Chief of Kenyasi No.1 in the Asutifi North District of the Ahafo Region, has presented a cheque for GH¢80,000 to the management of the Asutifi North District Hospital to facilitate the purchase of computers for the digitization of patients records.
Speaking during the presentation, Nana Osei Kofi Abiri explained that the hospital management requested financial assistance to transition from the manual folder-based record-keeping system to a computerized system.
He noted that in this modern era, patients information should be stored electronically to improve efficiency and healthcare delivery.
According to the chief, he accepted the request in the interest of the people of Asutifi North, who stand to benefit from improved healthcare services.
He further stated that he would monitor the project to ensure that the funds are used for their intended purpose.
The Medical Superintendent of the Asutifi North District Hospital, Dr. Obed Benyin-Mensah, expressed gratitude to the chief for the generous donation.
He disclosed that all the necessary wiring and installations for the computerized system have been completed and that the digital records system is expected to become operational by the end of June.
