Regional Minister Visits Gomoa-Effutu Shooting Victims, Calls For Calm.

Central Regional Minister, Hon. Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah, has visited the Trauma and Specialist Hospital to obtain first-hand information on the condition of victims injured in the recent shooting incident involving residents of Effutu and Gomoa.

The Regional Minister interacted with some of the victims and medical personnel as he assessed the situation and sought updates on those receiving treatment.

Hon. Eduamoah called on residents of the affected communities to remain calm and exercise restraint while security agencies work to restore peace and prevent further escalation.

He assured residents that the necessary steps would be taken to address the situation and ensure the safety and security of people in the affected areas.

The visit comes after a violent clash between some youth from Gomoa and New Winneba, reportedly linked to a land dispute.

According to earlier reports, the confrontation resulted in the deaths of three people, while at least 17 others sustained various degrees of injuries and are receiving medical attention.

The incident has heightened concerns among residents, with authorities urging all parties to avoid retaliatory attacks and allow the appropriate authorities to investigate.
