Kasoa MP Calls On Ghanaians To Positively Embrace AI And Robotics Education.

The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Hon. Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor, has called on Ghanaians to focus on the positive impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics, emphasizing their importance in shaping the future of education, innovation, and national development.
Hon. Naa Koryoo made the remarks when she, together with the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Awutu Senya East, Hon. Seth Serwonoo Banini, and a delegation of officials, paid a courtesy visit to the BE-WEH School of Robotics in Kasoa following the school’s impressive victory at the National AI Robotics Competition.
The visit was aimed at congratulating the students and management of the school for their outstanding achievement in securing the national title and bringing the prestigious trophy to Kasoa.
Addressing the students, Hon. Naa Koryoo commended their hard work, dedication, and innovation.
She encouraged the team as they prepare to represent Ghana at the upcoming International Robotics Competition in Geneva, Switzerland.
As a demonstration of her commitment to supporting science and technology education, the MP donated GH¢10,000 towards the team’s preparations for the international event.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Seth Serwonoo Banini underscored the growing relevance of AI and robotics in today’s world.
He noted that technological advancement is the future and urged young people to embrace AI and robotics positively to position themselves for opportunities in the global digital economy.
The Administrator of BE-WEH School of Robotics, Mrs. Rebecca Manko, expressed gratitude to the MP, the MCE, and their entourage for the visit and generous support.
She assured them that the team would work diligently to excel at the international competition and make both Ghana and Kasoa proud.
